Writing

Language is a landscape. Only when we locate ourselves within its vastness can we begin to tell stories.

Telling stories, and finding just the right language to do so, is the magic key to compelling written content. Beyond simply conveying information, effective writing allows us to shape the very fabric of our world – aligning or distancing ourselves to cultures, experiences, perspectives through words and shaping others in the process.

As a marketer, an academic scholar, a former journalist, and curious human, I’ve traversed many linguistic terrains. I consider myself an adaptable wordsmith shaped by training in a research-heavy discipline. However, polished and informative communications don’t have to be boring. Familiar with multiple manuals of style, including MLA and Chicago, I am comfortable writing for diverse audiences in social media posts, newspaper columns, email newsletters, blog posts and essays.
